MANILA, Philippines- Sinabi ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) na nahuli nito ang kabuuang 639,323 motorista dahil sa iba’t ibang uri ng traffic violations noong 2024.
Iniugnay ni LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza II ang 20.75% pagtaas mula sa 529,439 drivers noong 2023 sa mga bagong istratehiya upang ipatupad ang road safety rules and regulations.
Karamihan sa mga motorista ay nasita sa LTO-CALABARZON na may mahigit 109,159 motorista o mas mataas ng halos 144.11% kumpara sa mga nahuli noong 2023.
“I commend our enforcers for going the extra mile in enforcing traffic rules and regulations. Most of them even went on duty at night and even in the wee hours in the morning just to enforce the law,” ani Mendoza.
Samantala, nagsagawa rin ang LTO ng night operations upang hulihin ang colorum operations at mga truck na lumabag sa road safety regulations.
May kabuuang 29,709 sasakyan ang na-impound noong 2024, mas mataas ng 21.93% kumpara sa 24,366 sasakyan noong 2023.
“Let these results of our operations serve as a reminder to motorists that we will further strengthen our operation to ensure that all motorist follow traffic laws,” wika ni Mendoza.
Ipagpapatuloy ng LTO ang agresibong implementasyon nito ng mga operasyon sa 2025 upang matiyak ang kaligtasan ng mga motorista sa bansa. RNT/SA
