MANILA, Philippines- Nakikipag-ugnayan ang University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) sa university police hinggil sa sexual assault incident na naganap nitong Sabado sa mismong campus sa Diliman, Quezon City.
Ang UPD administration ay nakikipag-ugnayan “with the police authorities for the immediate apprehension of the suspect and closely coordinating with the survivor to provide necessary assistance,” ayon sa pahayag nitong Linggo.
Anito, naganap ang insidente dakong alas-11 ng gabi nitong Sabado, kung saan isang babaeng estudyante ang “sexually assaulted” ng hindi natukoy na mga salarin.
Dahil dito, inabisuhan ng unibersidad ang publiko na mag-ingat at agad na kontakin ang UPD Police (UPDP) sakaling maging biktima nito.
“Everyone is reminded to stay vigilant and report anything suspicious to the UPDP,” sabi ng UPD.
Samantala, upang hindi na ito maulit, inihayag ng UPD na “more roving security personnel and UPD police officers will be deployed in different areas on campus, especially after office hours.” RNT/SA
