IRAN – Nagbabala ang Iran na muling isasara ang Strait of Hormuz kung magpapatuloy ang Estados Unidos sa pagharang sa mga Iranian port.
Ito ay ilang oras lamang matapos ianunsyo ang tuluyang pagbubukas ng Strait of Hormuz matapos ang ceasefire deal ng Lebanon at Israel.
Nagdulot ang anunsyo ng positibong pananaw sa mga investor, at umaasa rin si US President Donald Trump na ang peace deal ay malapit nang maisakatuparan.
Idinagdag ni Trump na pumayag umano ang Iran na isuko ang uranium.
“We’re going to get it by going in with Iran, with lots of excavators,” sinabi ni Trump.
Samantala, pinabulaanan naman ng Iran ang pahayag at sinabing ang stock nila ng enriched uranium ay hindi dadalhin kahit saan.
Nagbabala rin ito na kung patuloy na haharangin ng US warships ang mga barko mula sa Iranian ports ay muling isasara ang Strait of Hormuz.
“With the continuation of the blockade, the Strait of Hormuz will not remain open,” sinabi ni parliamentary speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.
“The opening and closing of the Strait of Hormuz does not take place on internet. It is determined in the field, and our armed forces certainly know how to behave in response to any action by the other side,” ayon naman kay Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei.
“What they call a naval blockade will definitely be met with an appropriate response from Iran. A naval blockade is a violation of the ceasefire and Iran will definitely take the necessary measures.” RNT/JGC
