MANILA, Philippines – Sapul sa major outage sa global computer systems nitong Biyernes, Hulyo 19 ang iba’t ibang sector ng ekonomiya katulad ng mga banko, paliparan, communications at telecommunications company.
Ayon sa National Cyber Security Coordinator, ang “large-scale technical outage” ay dulot ng isyu sa “third-party software platform,” sabay-sabing wala pang impormasyon kung may kaugnayan ba ang hacker sa isyung ito.
Sa Berlin, Germany, suspendido ang mga flight sa Berlin Brandenburg airport dahil sa “technical problem.”
“There are delays to check-in, and flight operations had to be canceled until 10:00 am (0800 GMT),” ayon sa tagapagsalita ng paliparan.
Nagbabala rin ang pinakamalaking rail operator sa United Kingdom sa posibilidad ng train cancellations dahil sa naturang IT issue.
“Flights are currently arriving and departing however there may be some delays throughout the evening,” sinabi ng tagapagsalita ng Sydney Airport.
“We have activated our contingency plans with our airline partners and deployed additional staff to our terminals to assist passengers.”
Nagkaroon din ng glitch at agad na tinapos ng Sky News sa UK ang morning news broadcast dahil dito.
Maging sa Pilipinas ay apektado ang digital banking services ng ilang major local banks dahil din sa tech outage.
Ayon sa BDO Unibank, kasalukuyang nakararanas ng technical difficulties ang kanilang sistema dahil sa isyu sa Microsoft.
“This may result in extended wait times at our branches and contact center, and delays in or unavailability of some functions in our digital channels,” ayon sa BDO.
“Our team is diligently working with Microsoft to resolve this issue. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” dagdag pa.
Nag-ulat din ng mga kaparehong isyu ang Metrobank, Unionbank at Bank of the Philippine Islands.
”This issue has impacted certain operations in the bank, which may cause longer wait times in our branches and contact center. You may also experience delays in the crediting of financial transactions, including bill payments and interbank fund transfers, as other institutions are likewise affected,”saad sa abiso ng BPI.
”Our technical team is already coordinating closely with the provider on the resolution of this issue.Rest assured that this issue should not be a cause for concern. Our branches, ATMs, CAMs, online and mobile banking services remain available.”
