MANILA, Philippines – Nag-isyu ng subpoena kay Sarah Discaya ng Alpha & Omega General Construction at iba pang mga contractor ang three-panel House Infrastructure Committee (InfraComm) upang humarap sa mga pagtatanong sa Setyembre 9 sa di-umano’y maanomalyang mga flood control projects, sabi ni panel chairperson at Bicol Saro party-list Rep. Terry Ridon.
Sakop din ng subpoena, na may petsang Setyembre 4, sina Mark Arevalo ng Wawao Builders Corp., Miguel Juntura ng St. Timothy Construction Corp., Romeo Miranda ng Royal Crown Monarch Construction, at Sally Santos ng Syms Construction Trading.
“Please be advised that failure to comply with this Order will constrain the Committee to resort to Section 11 of the Rules of Procedure Governing Inquiries in Aid of Legislation of the House of Representatives on the power of contempt,” nakasaad sa subpoena ad testificandum.
Dagdag pa, hiniling ng House InfraComm sa Justice department na mag-isyu ng Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order para kay Santos at dating Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB) executive director Herbert Matienzo.
Nauna nang binawi ng PCAB ang mga lisensya ng contractor ng siyam na construction companies na pag-aari at kontrolado ni Discaya matapos niyang aminin sa harap ng Senate inquiry na ang kanyang mga kumpanya ay nakapag-bid para sa mga kontrata ng gobyerno nang sabay-sabay. RNT/MND
