Investment deals na magbibigay insentibo sa Omani investors pinag-aaralan ng Pilipinas – DFA

MANILA, Philippines – TINITINGNAN na ng Pilipinas at Oman na tapusin ang “investment agreements” na magbibigay ng insentibo sa Omani businesses na planong mag-invest sa Pilipinas.

Inihayag ito ni Foreign Affairs Secretary Ma. Theresa Lazaro sa kanyang naging pagbisita sa Muscat, Oman para sa 2nd Oman-Cebu Investment Forum, nito lamang Pebrero 9.

“She highlighted the recent momentum in bilateral cooperation, specifically noting the newly signed agreements in the health and agriculture sectors,” ang sinabi ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) sa isang kalatas.

“Furthermore, Secretary Lazaro underscored both sides’ commitment to conclude investment agreements, which aim to provide a more secure and incentivized framework for Omani investors looking toward the Philippines,” ayon pa rin sa departamento.

Hindi naman nagbigay ng karagdagang impormasyon ang DFA nang hingan ng karagdagang detalye ukol sa inaasahang kasunduan.

Samantala, nagbigay naman ng hudyat si Omani Foreign Affairs Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi sa kahandaan ng Oman na makatrabaho ang Pilipinas alinsunod sa national economic diversification agenda nito.

Sa nasabing forum, ipinahayag ni Omani Foreign Affairs Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi ang kanyang pananaw para sa mas pangmatagalang partnerships kasama ang Maynila habang muling pinagtibay ang pagpapahalaga para sa 50,000-strong Filipino community at mahalagang kontribusyon sa ‘Omani social at economic landscape.’

“Building on last year’s success, in Cebu, we’re converting talks into real projects: expanding trade, driving innovation, and fostering sustainable growth for a lasting Oman-Philippines partnership,” aniya pa rin.

Sa isang joint statement, may petsang Pebrero 10, hinikayat ng dalawang top diplomats ang mga Filipino at Omani private sectors na pangalagaan ang ‘mutually beneficial at sustainable economic engagement.’

Samantala, binigyang diin naman sa forum ang mga sektor gaya ng “trade and investment; tourism, hospitality, and cultural ties; logistics and connectivity; renewable energy; digital economy, innovation; agriculture, healthcare; vocational and technical cooperation; education; at sustainable development.” Kris Jose
