Manila, Philippines – Nagtataka ang marami sa non-appearance ni Jodi Sta. Maria sa ginanap na ABSCBN Ball last week.
May nag-akala na inisnab ni Jodi ang Kapamilya event considering na isa pa naman siya sa prime artists ng ABSCBN.
A few days bago ang ABSCBN Ball ay nakausap namin si Jodi sa launching niya as Philippine Animal Welfare Society’s (PAWS) newest celebrity ambassador. And we were able to ask her kung dadalo siya sa nababggit na Kapamilya event.
Paliwanag ni Jodi, “As much as I want to attend the ABS-CBN Ball, I won’t be here during that time because I’m leaving for work on the first week of April.
“I’m actually leaving for a shoot. I’ll be leaving for a month to shoot a project and then I’ll be back end of April for the premiere of Untold the movie. I’ll also be away for Holy Week for work actually. So that’s the plan.”
Kahit daw wala siya sa Pilipinas during Holy Week, may sariling pamamaraan naman si Jodi on how to reflect during Holy Week.
“Naniniwala ako na in terms reflection or retrospection and finding peace, hindi natin kailangan maghintay ng holy week for that.
“We can actually do that everyday. We can actually find peace and stillness everyday, just by meditating, by praying, remembering all the things that we’ve been blessed with, the things that we are grateful for.
“So, I think that we can find peace and stillness and all those things. Especially letting go of things that are beyond our control,” paglalahad nii Jodi nu’ng makausap namin sa “Puso Para sa Puspin” PAWS campaign launch.
Malaki ang paniwala ni Jodi na dahil sa grace ng Diyos ang lahat ng mga magagandang pangyayari sa buhay niya ngayon.
Ayon pa kay Jodi, “In general, I am at peace. In general, my life is happy. I am content.”
Samantala, ibinahagi ni Jodi ang status ng kanyang plano na kumuha ng master’s degree in clinical psychology.
“Actually, this morning, I was just in touch with the administrator from school and fina-follow up na niya yung application. Sabi ko, ‘I’m sorry I’ve been busy lang.’
“Pero ipapasa ko na yung application ko so I can start na with my masters,” say pa ni Jodi. Julie Bonifacio
