MANILA, Philippines – Nilinaw ng Kamara na walang pondo ng taumbayan ang ginamit sa 22-day trip ni Quezon City Rep. Juan Carlos Atayde at asawang si Maine Mendoza sa Europe.
Ito ang sinabi ni House Secretary General Reginald Velasco nang supalpalin ang bagong kasal sa naging biyahe ng mga ito sa Switzerland, Italy at Greece.
Kinumpirma ni Velasco na nagbigay siya ng
Travel Authority No. IPRS-0723-PT2495, na may petsang Hulyo 10, na pinapayagan si Atayde na bumiyahe patungong Switzerland para sa 2023 Locarno International Film Festival “in your capacity as vice chairperson of the special committee on creative industry and performing arts” at “to visit the Filipino communities” in Italy and Greece.
“As such, you are entitled to travel tax exemption,” sinabi sa travel authority na pirmado ni Velasco at inisyuhan ng sertipikasyon noong Agosto 2, na “Atayde did not request for any funding from the House of Representatives and said travel will be at his own expense.” RNT/JGC
