MANILA, Philippines – Muling inihayag ng mga miyembro ng Kamara ang suporta nito kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Sa dalawang pahinang manifesto na may titulong “A Declaration of Unity, Loyalty, and Resolve in Defense of the Nation,” sinabi ng Kamara, na pinamumunuan ni Speaker Martin Romualdez, na ang mga miyembro nito ay may buong suporta na ipagtanggol ang democratic institutions at soberanya ng bansa.
“At all costs, we will stand united with President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. to uphold and defend the Constitution, ensure the welfare of our people, and safeguard the future of our nation,” saad ng mga solon sa kanilang manifesto.
“We, the Members of the House of Representatives, solemnly affirm that our collective strength lies in the unity of purpose, fidelity to our democratic principles, and unwavering commitment to serve the Filipino people,” dagdag pa nila.
Ang manifesto ay inilabas nang wala pang 24 oras matapos ang pagkikita ng mahigit 200 miyembro ng Kamara kasama si Marcos sa isang “fellowship” sa Palasyo gabi ng Miyerkules, Disyembre 4.
Nataon ito isang araw matapos ihain ang ikalawang impeachment complaint laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte.
Samantala, sinabi ni Manila lawmaker at House good government and public accountability chairperson Joel Chua na hindi napag-usapan ang impeachment sa isinagawang fellowship. RNT/JGC
