MANILA, Philippines – Agad na tatalima ang House of Representatives sa kautusan ng Korte Suprema na isumite ang enrolled bill na naglalaman ng 2025 national budget at kopya mismo ng budget gayunpaman kumpiyansa ang mga mambabatas na walang makikitang blangko sa budget documents.
Ayon kina House Assistant Majority Leaders Jude Acidre ng Tingog Party-list at Jil Bongalon ng Ako Bicol Party-list taliwas sa akusasyon ng mga krtikiko na may mga blanko sa 2025 budget ay walang makikita dito ang mga mahistrado ng Kataas taasang hukuman.
“I stand by the regularity of the 2025 GAA (General Appropriations Act). It is above board. In fact, we welcome this initiative on the part of the Supreme Court to really require the copy of the enrolled bill,” pahayag ni Acidre.
“Mas maganda rin ito para makita din ng justices ng Korte Suprema na sila mismo makapagsabi na wala hong blangko dyan as alleged by the petitioners in that particular case na sinasabi na parang blangkong tseke na pipilapan na lang. So nothing in those documents that there are blank items in the enrolled bill, also in the General Appropriations Act,” paliwanag naman ni Bongalon.
Una nang itinakda ng SC ang oral argument sa kaso sa Abril 1 sa kanilang summer session sa Baguio City.
Samantala, sinagot din ni Bongalon ang alegasyon na hindi makakuha ng kopya ng budget bill, aniya, kailangan na magkaroon muna ng request sa Kamara para makakuha nito.
“It has to follow the rules. They have to make it official if someone requests for it. ‘Yung Archives naman is open to the public, so puwede siya, puwede siya ma-request,” ani Bongalon.
Ang mga petitioner sa SC na kumukuwestiyon sa 2025 budget inihain ng mga kaalyado ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na sina Davao City Rep. Isidro Ungab at dating executive secretary Vic Rodriguez. Gail Mendoza
