Actually, hindi na nga ini-expect ni Kelvin na gagawin ang sport na yun muli, but he was simply so thrilled that he was riding again. He wants to explore the world and cross continents on a bike.

May ilang eksena kasi sa nasabing pelikula kung saan kailangang sumakay ni Kelvin sa motor at mag-motocross.

Si Kira Balinger naman na kasama ni Kelvin sa movie ay super scared of heights, but she wants to try skydiving.

The sport is just in her bucket list and one day, she wants to explore it.

Sina Kelvin at Kira ang mga bida sa romantic comedy-drama movie na Chances Are, You and I. The film is directed by Catherine “CC” O. Camarillo and produced by Pocket Media Productions, Incorporation.

Ang Chances Are, You and I is written by Direk CC’s daughter, Ellis Catrina, who admitted to being inspired by popular Korean dramas when she started writing her script.

Fate, illness and the search for meaning intertwine in this moving drama that finds two terminally ill young people seeking answers before their time runs short.

The film started principal photography in South Korea in 2022. The cast and crew had to endure extreme cold weather conditions.

“Even if the film took time to wrap up, the wait was worth it. It’s worthy to be shown in theaters,” assured Direk CC.

Kelvin Miranda plays Soleil Sikat or “Sol,” who is convinced death is inevitable and we are all bound to perish. He is a pessimist.

Kira is Gabriel Sinag or the bubbly “Gab,” who believes life has a perfect ending. She has a bright personality and does not entertain pessimism. She is undoubtedly an optimist.

The two are both diagnosed with brain tumor.

Since Kelvin and Kira started filming last November, when everything was covered in winter snow in Korea, they had to will themselves to focus on their roles and forget about sunny Manila.

They had to endure the chilly weather so they could come up with something beautiful in the coming months.

Chances Are, You and I was chosen as one of the Spotlight Entries this May 25 to 26 at the Jinseo Arigato International Film Festival, where Kelvin and Kira can showcase the film to Filipinos in Japan. The stars of the film, as well as the director, will grace the event and attend the screening in Japan.

The film’s soundtrack, “Demonyo” was done by Juan Karlos “JK” Labajo and “Mapa” by SB19.

Chances Are , You and I will open in local cinemas nationwide on May 29 and will have a premiere night at SM Megamall on May 28. JP Ignacio
