MANILA, Philippines- Inihayag ng East Zone concessionaire Manila Water Company na malapit nang umabot ang La Mesa Dam sa spilling level nito dahil sa malakas na pag-ulan.
Sa abiso nitong Miyerkules, Hulyo 24, sinabi ng Manila Water na inaasahang aapaw ang La Mesa Dam kapag umabot na ito sa lebel na 80.15 metro.
Base sa water concessionaire, ang La Mesa Dam ay kasalukuyang nasa 78.44 metro, mas mababa lamang ng 1.71 metro sa spilling level nito.
“Due to the continuous rise in the water level of La Mesa Dam, it is expected to overflow once it reaches the level of 80.15 meters,” anang Manila Water.
“For your safety, prepare your emergency go bags and follow the evacuation orders of your barangay in case evacuation is necessary,” dagdag nito.
Ang normal operating level ng La Mesa Dam ay mula 78 metro hanggang 79 metro.
Dahil sa patuloy na buhos ng ulan dulot ni Bagyong Carina at ng southwest monsoon, tumaas ang lebel ng tubig sa La Mesa Dam ng 1.42 metro mula sa 77.02 metro. RNT/SA
