MANILA, Philippines- Nakatakdang makatanggap ng local government units (LGUs) ng halos P1 trilyon sa susunod na taon bilang parte nito sa National Tax Allocation (NTA), ayon sa Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines (ULAP) nitong Sabado.
Sinabi ng ULAP na mas mataas ito ng 18.7 porsyento mula sa P871.38 bilyong NTA share ng LGUs ngayong taon.
Nagmula ang mas mataas na halaga sa resulta ng economic recovery ng bansa, dahil base ang NTA sa revenue collection noong 2022.
Sa pagkalkula sa NTA, ipinaliwanag ni ULAP president at Quirino governor Dakila “Dax’’ Cua na ginamit na base period ang “third year prior to the distribution.’’
“With the infusion of funds it is up to LGUs to ensure that the country’s economic recovery is felt on the ground,” wika niCua.
“Let’s use these funds so that our constituents can truly feel the progress that is indicated in our macroeconomic gains,’’ dagdag niya. RNT/SA
