MANILA, Philippines – Inaasahan ng Department of Energy (DOE) na bubuti na ngayong weekend ang overall power supply situation, kasunod ng mga inilabas na red at yellow alerts sa Luzon at Visayas sa mga nakalipas na araw.
“We are expecting improvements over the weekend,” ani Energy Secretary Raphael Lotilla sa virtual briefing nitong Biyernes, Abril 19.
“Over the weekend, we are hoping for several major plants to be back online,” sinabi ni Lotilla.
“We already saw two major plants go back online and we hope that the other plants remain unaffected and perform to their optimal performance.”
Naglalabas ang National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) ng red alert kapag ang power supply ay kulang na para matugunan ang consumer demand dahilan para magkaroon ng power outage.
Ang yellow alert naman ay itinataas kapag ang operating margin ay kulang din para matugunan ang pangangailangan. RNT/JGC
