MANILA, Philippines- Inanunsyo ng Philippine Navy nitong Martes na nakapagsagawa ito ng rotation and reprovisioning (RORE) missions sa siyam na isla sa West Philippine Sea nitong Disyembre.
Sa isang press conference, sinabi ni Philippine Navy spokesperson for the WPS Commodore Roy Trinidad na namataan ang apat na Chinese vessels sa RORE mission malapit sa Ayungin (Second Thomas) Shoal, subalit walang naganap na untoward incident.
“The AFP through [the] Western Command conducted a rotation of troops and reprovisioning of our forces on the nine island features from 03 December to 14 December. The activities were conducted successfully. There were no untoward incidents monitored,” pahayag niya.
“There were no untoward incidents monitored, however there were two Chinese Coast Guard and two PLA (People’s Liberation Army) Navy ships in the vicinity… just in the vicinity doing nothing. No illegal actions, no coercive actions,” patuloy ng opisyal.
Inilahad ni Trinidad na nagsagawa sila ng RORE missions sa Ayungin (Second Thomas) Shoal, Pag-asa (Thitu) Island, Lawak (Nanshan) Island, Parola (Northeast Cay) Island, Patag (Flat) Island, Kota (Loaita) Island, Rizal (Commodore) Reef, Likas (West York) Island, at Panata (Lankiam Cay) Island.
Mula Enero 1 hanggang Disyembre 16, inihayag niyang nakapagsagawa ang Philippine Navy ng mahigit 300 maritime sovereignty at surveillance patrol missions sa West Philippine Sea, mahigit 100 air surveillance flights, at mahigit 60 RORE missions sa siyam na island fissures. RNT/SA
