MANILA, Philippines – SINABI ng Malakanyang na hindi konektado kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marxcos Jr., ang mga indibiduwal na naghain ng reklamo laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte sa Office of the Ombudsman.
“The complainants are not part of the President’s political allies, instead they are, in fact, his critics. So, how could he casually tell them to file plunder and graft charges against VP Sara,” ayon kay Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary at Palace Press Officer Claire Castro sa press briefing sa Malakanyang.
Ang pahayag na ito ni Castro ay matapos akusahan ni Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, deputy spokesperson ng Partido Demokratiko Pilipino (PDP) ang administrasyong Marcos na may ‘kamay’ sa nasabing reklamo.
Sinabi pa rin ni Topacio na ang paghahain ng criminal charges laban kay VP Sara ay bahagi ng “political stunt,” sabay sabing gagawin lahat ng “panic-stricken” government ang lahat ng makakaya nito para pigilan si VP Sara na tumakbo sa pagka-pangulo sa 2028.
Kinastigo naman ni Castro ang inilarawan nito bilang “obstructionists” sa paggawa ng alegasyon laban kay Marcos.
Binigyang diin ni Castro na ang mga reklamo laban kay VP Sara ay base sa di umano’y maling paggamit ng public funds,
“It is clear that these obstructionists operate against President Marcos Jr. They will always fabricate stories to divert attention away from the corruption allegations against VP Sara,” ani Castro.
