MANILA, Philippines – IPINAHAYAG ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) na palalawigin sa mga piling sinehan ang mga opisyal ng entry ng Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) hanggang Enero 14 sa gitna ng panawagan para sa extension ng maraming mahilig sa pelikula at ng publiko.
Dahil dito, nagpahayag ng pasasalamat si Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman at concurrent MMFF overall Chairman Atty. Don Artes sa patuloy na pagtangkilik ng mga manonood sa MMFF.
Nabatid na nakatakda sanang matapos bukas (Enero 7) ang nasabing festival pero na-extend ng isang linggo.
“We, at the MMFF, are overwhelmed with the continued support of the public for the festival’s 50th edition. Due to public clamor, we have decided to extend the theatrical run of the MMFF movies to further showcase the locally produced films that are truly impressive and artistically excellent,” ani Artes.
Sa nasabing pagpapalawig, maging ang MMFF complimentary pass ay maaaring gamitin hanggang Enero 14.
Dagdag pa ni Artes, umaasa ang MMDA na patuloy na tataas ang kita sa 2024 MMFF.
Ang MMFF na inorganisa ng MMDA ay naglalayong isulong at pahusayin ang preserbasyon ng pelikulang Pilipino.
Ang mga nalikom mula sa MMFF ay mapupunta sa ilang benepisyaryo sa industriya ng pelikula, tulad ng Movie Workers Welfare Foundation (Mowelfund), Film Academy of the Philippines, Motion Picture Anti-Film Piracy Council, Optical Media Board, at Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).
