MANILA, Philippines – Itinanggi ni Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero ang umano’y Senate resolution na nagbabasura sa impachment case laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte na naihain umano sa Mataas na Kapulungan.
“As of last night there is no such filed or pending resolution,” sinabi ni Escudero.
Sa naturang dokumento na kumakalat sa social media, ipinananawagan umano ang deklarasyon ng impeachment case ni Duterte bilang “de facto” dismissed “by operation of the 1987 Constitution.”
Sinasabi na ang 19th Congress “has no sufficient time to fully deliberate and resolve” ang articles of impeachment laban kay Duterte dahil ang naturang usapin “cannot cross over to the incoming 20th Congress.”
Ayon naman kay Senate Minority Leader Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III, may making tsansa na ang naturang dokumento ay peke.
“Flawed logic. Big chance not authentic. Even quotation of the constitutional provision is not accurate,” ani Pimentel.
Wala ring nakitang ganitong resolusyon sina Senador Risa Hontiveros, Joel Villanueva, JV Ejercito, at Cynthia Villar.
