MANILA, Philippines – Itinanggi ng Philippine Navy ang mga report na nagsasagawa umano ng military exercises sa Bajo de Masinloc sa West Philippine Sea ang China.
Sa panayam, sinabi ni Navy spokesperson for the WPS Rear Admiral Roy Vincent Trinidad na ang namataan ay ang “dispersed presence” ng China Coast Guard, Navy, at Air Force.
“An exercise is a synchronized maneuver by different forces. What we monitored was the dispersed presence of the Coast Guard, the PLA (People’s Liberation Army) Navy, and the PLA Air Force,” aniya.
Sinabi ni Trinidad na ang mga report ng Chinese military exercises ay bahagi ng “false narrative (and) malign influence” ng Beijing “to project that they have control over Bajo de Masinloc.”
“Bajo de Masinloc remains ours. It is within our EEZ (exclusive economic zone), and it has a territorial sea of its own,” ayon pa kay Trinidad.
Siniguro ng opisyal sa publiko na nagpapatuloy ang naval patrols ng Pilipinas sa WPS sa kabila ng tumataas ng presyo ng produktong petrolyo dahil sa tensyon sa Middle East. RNT/JGC
