MANILA, Philippines- Hinikayat ni National Police Commission (Napolcom) Commissioner Ralph Calinisan ang “mutual respect” sa pagitan ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) at ng Philippine National Police (PNP).
“Mutual respect between the MMDA and the PNP would be most appreciated. Law enforcement should not be a contest. We don’t need to one-up each other as we are partners in this effort,” pahayag ni Calinisan.
Tinukoy si Go, ani Calinisan: “I salute how well he’s doing his job. I agree that Metro Manila streets must be cleared of all obstructions from private individuals or government officials. But let’s not shame police officers just for the clicks and views [on social media].”
“The officer involved was issued a citation ticket, which he accepted respectfully and without protest,” anang kapulisan.
“We remain firm in our commitment that all QCPD personnel are equally accountable under the law, and as law enforcers, we should be examples of compliance to the law and respect for authority,” dagdag nito. RNT/SA
