MANILA, Philippines – Ikinasa na ng Social Security System ang mobile e-Wheels nito sa mga pampublikong pamilihan at barangay sa piling bayan at lungsod sa buong bansa.
Bahagi ito ng weeklong Palengke Caravan para magbigay ng serbisyo sa mga mamamayan.
Sa isang kalatas, sinabi ng SSS na suportado ng caravan ang direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na maghatid ng serbisyo sa publiko at mas mailapit sa mga tao, partikular na sa “underserved at hard-to-reach communities.”
Nagsimula nang i-deploy ng SSS ang mobile e-Wheels sa Metro Manila noong Lunes, Mayo 25, na may target na makapagsilbi sa 21,500 kliyente.
Susundan ito ng caravan activities sa Calapan, Oriental Mindoro; Legazpi, Albay; Silay City, Negros Occidental; at Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte sa Mayo 27.
Ang nationwide caravan ay magtatapos sa Mayo 28 sa Virac, Catanduanes.
Kabilang sa serbisyong iaalok ng mobile caravan ang employer registration, inquiries and verification, Annual Confirmation of Pensioners o ACOP, pag-update ng member data records, pagpapalabas ng SSS numbers and forms, at online-related transactions gaya ng My.SSS registration, password resetting, Payment Reference Number generation, pension loan applications, at benefit claim applications.
Magde-deploy din ang SSS ng bagong inilunsad na facial authentication na may liveness check para sa ACOP verification sa panahon ng mobile service operations, na magpapahintulot sa mga eligible pensioners na makumpleto ang verification nang mas mabilis at mas madali nang hindi na bibisita pa sa mga sangay.
“For many pensioners, informal workers, and members in underserved communities, even a single branch visit can mean transportation expenses, lost income, and hours spent in line,” ang sinabi ni SSS President and Chief Executive Officer Robert Joseph De Claro.
“Through the SSS e-Wheels/Palengke Caravan, we are bringing government services directly to communities so people can access assistance and complete transactions closer to where they live and work,” aniya pa rin.
Mula Enero hanggang Abril 2026, nagsagawa ang SSS ng kabuuang 3,294 e-Wheels activities sa buong bansa, na nagsilbi sa 239,367 miyembro at residente sa last-mile communities.
“By bringing services closer to the people, we are making SSS more accessible, more responsive, and convenient for workers, pensioners, and their families,” ang sinabi ni De Claro. (Kris Jose)
