MANILA, Philippines – Naaresto ang No. 1 most wanted person sa Caraga region sa Purok 10, Barangay Poblacion, Esperanza, Agusan del Sur noong Agosto 9.
Ayon kay Lt. Col. Jennifer S. Ometer ng Police Regional Office 13, naaresto ang 47-anyos na suspek na kinilalang “Bib” sa isang law enforcement operation. Nagulat umano ang suspek nang dumating ang mga pulis sa kanyang pinagtataguan.
Sinabi ni Police Col. Yahya B. Yusup, direktor ng Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office, na nahaharap ang suspek sa kasong qualified rape of a minor at walang inirekomendang piyansa ang korte.
Pinuri ni Yusup ang Esperanza Municipal Police Station sa matagumpay na operasyon. Ayon sa kanya, “This accomplishment also reflects the dedication, professionalism, and relentless efforts of ADSPPO personnel in tracking down wanted persons and upholding justice.”
Nasa kustodiya na ng Esperanza MPS ang suspek habang isinasagawa ang dokumentasyon bago ito iharap sa korte.
Samantala, naaresto rin noong Agosto 10 sa Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte ang Provincial Top 8 Most Wanted Person na kinilalang “Bato,” 43 anyos.
Inaresto siya batay sa warrant of arrest na inilabas ng Regional Trial Court Branch 34, Cabadbaran City noong Agosto 6, 2026, kaugnay ng dalawang bilang ng paglabag sa RA 7610 Section 5(A), na may P200,000 piyansa.
Ayon kay Police Col. Ruel M. Cagape, “The ADNPPO remains steadfast in its pursuit of wanted persons involved in offenses against children, and through continuous intelligence efforts and coordinated police operations, we will ensure that offenders are brought to justice and that children remain protected across Agusan del Norte.” RNT/MDS
