OCD handang magpaabot ng tulong sa quake-hit Japan

MANILA, Philippines- Nakaantabay ang Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) at handang tumulong sa response operation sa Japan na niyanig ng magnitude 7.6 na lindol sa araw ng nagong taon.

Inihayag ito ng OCD matapos mag-alok ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. ng tulong sa nasabing bansa matapos masawi sa lindol ang hindi bababa sa 55 indibidwal.

“We will continue to monitor the situation and make necessary arrangements for the possible support that we can extend […]  the Office of Civil Defense is willing to extend assistance to support the ongoing response operations,” pahayag ni OCD Administrator Undersexretary Ariel Nepomuceno nitong Martes.

“This massive earthquake that hit Japan is a reminder to us to continuously reinforce our country’s preparedness against the threats of earthquakes and other hazards through the whole-of-government and whole-of-nation approach,” dagdag niya.

Gayundin, ipinahatid ni Nepomuceno ang pakikiramay ng Pilipinas sa Japanese government at sa mga apektado ng sakuna. RNT/SA
