MANILA, Philippines – Nais ni Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla ang individual affidavits mula sa 18 self-proclaimed bodyguards ni dating Congressman Zaldy Co, na nagsabing naghatid sila ng milyon-milyong pisong kickback mula sa flood control projects sa ilang politiko.
“They should also issue individual affidavits,” sinabi ni Remulla.
Ang pahayag ay kasunod ng sinabi ni Atty. Levi Baligod, abogado ng 18 dating bodyguard, na sasabihin nila ang lahat sa imbestigasyon ng Ombudsman.
“Doon sa Ombudsman investigation, ‘yun ang medyo proper, no? So iisa-isahin ‘yan. Merong panel of investigators so doon nila ibibigay lahat pati ‘yung mga pictures, videos, doon lahat,” ani Baligod.
Inimbitahan umano ang mga ito na humarap sa Ombudsman sa Hunyo 11, 15, at 16.
Nagsasagawa ng fact-finding investigation ang Ombudsman kaugnay sa mga alegasyon.
“In fact, we have been regularly interviewing them even before. It’s part of the effort of the office not to leave any stone unturned. We will go where the evidence takes us,” sinabi naman ni Assistant Ombudsman Mico Clavano. RNT/JGC
