P10K CASH INCENTIVES FOR STUDES WITH HIGHEST HONORS

AROUND 100 students from grade school to senior high school who received the ‘With Highest Honors’ distinction got P10,000 as cash incentive from the administration of Caloocan City Mayor Along Malapitan.

The mayor hailed the graduates for their discipline and hard work as well as the proud parents, teachers, and school staff who all exerted their best efforts to help the students earn their achievements.

Malapitan vowed to continue focusing on programs geared towards the empowerment of the youth and further improvements to the education system of the city.

Caloocan sets advocacy seminars for LGBTQ+, allies

To show its full support and solidarity this Pride Month, a total of three advocacy seminars would be initiated by the city government through the efforts of the Gender and Advocacy Resource Coordinating Office (GADRCO), for the benefit of the members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans-sexual, Queer (LGBTQ+) community and its allies.

Various topics will be covered by the talks, including diversity and empowerment of LGBTQ+, social inclusion and equality and breaking of stigmas regarding the community.

The city chief executive expressed his gratitude to the GADRCO and the members of the community in making the events possible and encouraged everyone to attend the seminars to raise awareness regarding the current situation and concerns revolving around the community.

He likewise reiterated that his administration remains committed to becoming a safe place for members of vulnerable sectors, free from abuse and discrimination while being full of opportunities for self-growth and discovery.

Oca Malapitan.
