MANILA, Philippines – Kinondena ng kampo ni Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy ang P10 milyong pabuya na alok ng pamahalaan para sa ikaaaresto ng puganteng “Appointed Son of God.”
Sa pahayag na inilabas ng KOJC, sinabi ng simbahan na nirerespeto nito ang desisyon ng administrasyong Marcos.
“However, it cannot help but be amazed by this obstinate and continuous obsession of the Marcos Administration against Pastor ACQ,” saad sa pahayag ni KOJC lawyer Atty Israelito Torreon.
Anang KOJC, sa halip na ianunsyo ang pabuya, dapat ay tugunan ng pamahalaan ang motion for reconsideration na inihain ni Quiboloy sa Department of Justice para sa reversal ng paghahain ng mga reklamo sa Pasig City at Quezon City Regional Trial Courts.
“Ultimately, the KOJC simply would say thanks for this move President Bongbong Marcos, but no thanks,” ayon kay Torreon.
Kasabay nito, kinwestyon din ni Atty Ferdinand Topacio, abogado ni Quiboloy ang P10 milyong pabuya para sa ikaaaresto ng religious leader, at tig-P1 milyon sa limang co-accused nito ayon sa anunsyo ni Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos nitong Lunes, Hulyo 8.
“In this case, why have private funds entered the picture? Are there no public funds left? And what is the motivation of these private donors, whom Mr. Abalos does not want to disclose, in upping the ante for the arrest of Pastor Quiboloy?” ani Topacio.
“This latest assault on the dignity of Pastor Quiboloy is but the latest in a display of wantonness and disregard for the rule of law of this administration,” dagdag pa nito. RNT/JGC
