MANILA, Philippines — Ibinalik ni contractor Sally Santos, may-ari ng SYMS Construction Trading, ang P15 milyon sa gobyerno, ayon sa Department of Justice (DOJ).
Sinabi ni DOJ spokesperson Polo Martinez na bahagi ang halagang ito ng memorandum of agreement (MOA) sa pagitan ng gobyerno at mga applicant witnesses kaugnay ng imbestigasyon sa anomalous flood control projects.
“I just received word that the armored vehicles that arrived earlier today carried the amount of more or less PHP15 million as part of the partial restitution by Sally Santos pursuant to the terms of her MOA,” ani Martinez.
Sa mga legislative inquiries, inamin ni Santos na ipinahiram niya ang kanyang mga lisensya sa mga DPWH engineer para magamit sa mga proyekto kapalit ng 3 porsiyentong “royalty” fee, ngunit itinanggi niyang alam niyang gagamitin ito sa anomalous projects. Santi Celario
