CAMP MARCELO ADDURU, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan- Binunot ng mga awtoridad ang 100,000 fully grown marijuana plants na nagkakahalaga ng P20 milyon sa Sitio Ulima, Barangay San Juan, Rizal, Cagayan nitong Sabado.
Sinunog ang mga ito at sinabi ng mga awtoridad na hindi lamang ang illegal drug production ang target sa operasyon kundi maging supply chain na nakaaapekto sa mgha komunidad sa rehiyon.
“The successful operation demonstrates the effectiveness of our inter-agency cooperation in combating illegal drug activities,” pahayag ni Police Brig. Gen. Antonio P. Marallag Jr., Police Regional Office-2 chief.
“The PRO-2, alongside our partners from the Philippine Army, Philippine Coast Guard, and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, will continue to intensify our efforts in eradicating illegal drugs in the region. We are committed to not only uprooting these dangerous plants but also to raising awareness in our communities about the consequences of drug abuse.”
Hinikayat din ni Marallag ang publiko na manatiling alerto at isumbong ang anumang illegal drug activities sa mga awtoridad.
