Sa ilalim ng kautusan, “the committee will oversee policy coordination, issue guidelines, assess the framework’s effectiveness, and recommend amendments to keep it aligned with national climate objectives and international developments.”
“Any policy involving fiscal and revenue-generating measures, carbon pricing, or a possible transition from voluntary to compliance carbon markets will require the DOF’s concurrence,” ayon sa kautusan.
“Other agencies will provide sector-specific inputs: the DENR will cover nature-based solutions, forestry, and waste management; the Department of Energy will handle the energy sector; the Department of Agriculture and the Philippine Statistics Authority will cover agriculture; and the Department of Transportation will address transport-related carbon credit projects,” ayon pa rin sa kautusan.
(KRIS JOSE)
