NGO Forum on ADB and allied civil society organizations unfurl a banner reading “ADB, Stop Fueling the Crisis” during the culmination of the CSO-Media Roundtable on ADB’s ACEF & the Global Energy Crisis and the launch of the report Financing the Transition, Silencing the Defenders in Pasig City on 9 June 2026. The event brought together journalists and representatives from civil society organizations to discuss the ongoing global energy crisis, the Asian Development Bank’s fossil fuel legacy, energy privatization, the Energy Transition Mechanism (ETM), critical minerals and mining expansion, climate finance, and the impacts of development projects on communities and environmental defenders across Asia. The banner unfurling served as a collective call for ADB to end support for fossil fuel-dependent and harmful energy projects and prioritize a just, community-centered energy transition.
Naglunsad ng panawagan ang NGO Forum on ADB at iba pang civil society organizations sa Asian Development Bank (ADB) na itigil ang pagsuporta sa mga fossil fuel-dependent at mapaminsalang energy projects.
Isinagawa ang panawagan sa pagtatapos ng CSO-Media Roundtable on ADB’s ACEF & the Global Energy Crisis at paglulunsad ng ulat na “Financing the Transition, Silencing the Defenders” sa Pasig City noong Hunyo 9, 2026.
Nag-unfurl ang mga kalahok ng banner na may nakasulat na “ADB, Stop Fueling the Crisis” bilang simbolo ng kanilang panawagan para sa makatarungan at nakasentro sa komunidad na energy transition.
Tinalakay sa pagtitipon ng mga mamamahayag at kinatawan ng iba’t ibang civil society organizations ang pandaigdigang krisis sa enerhiya, legacy ng ADB sa fossil fuels, energy privatization, Energy Transition Mechanism (ETM), pagmimina ng critical minerals, climate finance, at epekto ng mga development projects sa mga komunidad at environmental defenders sa Asya.
Ayon sa mga organizer, layunin ng kampanya na hikayatin ang ADB na unahin ang malinis at makatarungang enerhiya sa halip na mga proyektong umaasa sa fossil fuels. ERIC OCAPAN
