MANILA, Philippines- Bilang bahagi ng pagsisikap na paigtingin ang disaster response capabilities, inanunsyo ng Office of Civil Defense (OCD) na naghahanap ito ng katuwang sa Israeli government sa larangan ng chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threats dahil saklaw nito ang ilang panganib na maaaring makaapekto sa public health and safety.
“Israel has proven itself as a leader in disaster management and innovation. Our discussions today open exciting avenues for collaboration that could significantly enhance our disaster response capabilities, especially in the face of natural calamities and potential CBRN threats,” pahayag ni OCD administrator Undersecretary Ariel Nepomuceno.
Sa courtesy call nitong Miyerkules sa OCD, binigyang-diin ni Israeli Ambassador to the Philippines Ilan Fluss ang kahalagahan ng disaster management capabilities ng Israel at kahandaan nito na asistihan ang Pilipinas sa panahon ng kalamidad.
“We had the privilege of meeting with Undersecretary Ariel Nepomuceno to discuss Israel’s disaster management expertise and Israel’s readiness to assist the Philippines during times of calamities. We also had the opportunity to share insights on how Israel’s comprehensive approach to managing man-made disasters can offer valuable lessons for the Philippines.
