MANILA, Philippines- Inatasan ng Office of the President ang lahat ng national government agencies na sumuporta at makiisa sa implementasyon ng 2024 National Crime Prevention Program (NCPP).
Ito ay sa paglagda ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin sa Memorandum Circular No. 46 noong April 18, na agad na pinairal.
Batay sa circular, kinakailangang suportahan ng government agencies at instrumentalities, maging local government units (LGUs), ang NCPP ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) “to ensure [its] success.”
Noong February 22, isinumite ng DILG kay Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang panukalang pagpapatupad ng 2024 NCPP, na naglalayong magbigay ng “cross-cutting strategies to further foster safe communities, protect the rights of Filipinos, and reduce the prevalence of criminal activities in the country,” alinsunod sa Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028.
Itinalaga ng Malacañang ang National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) bilang lead agency sa implementasyon ng NCPP.
Nakasaad din sa circular ang funding requirements na kakaltasin sa existing appropriations ng kaukulang mga ahensya at LGUs, alinsunod sa umiiral na batas, alituntunin, at regulasyon. RNT/SA
