MANILA, Philippines – Nagpahayag ng pagkabahala at kalungkutan ang Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) sa pinakabagong pag-atake sa residence ng Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates sa Khartoum, Sudan.
”We deeply regret the recent bombing attack on the Residence of the UAE Ambassador in Khartoum, Sudan,” saad sa press statement ng DFA.
”We call for full respect for the safety and safeguarding of diplomatic premises in accordance with relevant Vienna Conventions,” dagdag pa.
Para naman kay Senate Minority Leader Aquilino ”Koko” Pimentel III, lubhang nakababahala ang sitwasyon sa Sudan, particular na ang bombing attack.
”We strongly call for peace, rule of law, and urge everyone to respect diplomatic institutions and adhere to international laws safeguarding diplomatic missions,” saad sa hiwalay na pahayag ni Pimentel.
Sa ulat, sinabing inatake ng Sudanese military aircraft ang diplomatic post ng UAE.
Itinanggi naman ng military government ng Sudan ang akusasyon ng UAE at isinisi ito sa
