Panukalang magdedeklara sa election days bilang holiday aprubado sa Kamara

MANILA, Philippines – Inaprubahan sa Kamara nitong Martes, Mayo 26 sa huling pagbasa ang panukalang magdedeklara sa national election days bilang regular non-working day.

Ang panukalang ito ay magbibigay pagkakataon sa mga Filipino na bumoto nang hindi na kailangang lumiban pa sa trabaho.

Bumotong pabor ang 223 mambabatas, walang tumutol, at isang abstention, inaprubahan ng Kamara ang House Bill No. 8392, na naglalayong ideklara ang national elections at special “electoral activities” katulad ng plebisito, referendums, people’s initiatives, recall elections, at special elections bilang holidays.
