MANILA, Philippines – Nagpaliwanag ang Party-list Coalition Foundation, Inc. (PCFI) ukol sa pagboto na pumabor upang maibasura ang dalawang impeachment complaint sa Kamara laban kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.
Tahasang sinabi ni FPJ Panday Bayanihan Rep. Brian Poe na sinuportahan ng PCFI sa kabuuan ang pagbasura sa impeachment sa pagsasabing upang bigyang daan ang pagbangon ng bansa.
“The PCFI believes that this is a time for healing and unity, not for the deepening of the political divide. Our country is currently at a critical economic juncture. The demand of the times is to shift our full attention to the pressing needs of the Filipino people.”
Paglilinaw pa ng mambabatas na ang pagsuporta sa desisyon ng House Justice Committee ay, “does not mean abandoning accountability, but reflects confidence in independent institutions tasked to enforce it. We are not ignoring accountability. Instead, our support for this Committee Report is rooted in our faith in the Philippine justice system,” dagdag pa ni Poe.
Sa ngayon aniya ay inoobserbahan ng maraming investors ng Pilipinas ang katatagan ng bansa at hindi ang ingay ng politika.
“Our creditors aren’t looking for political noise. They are looking for credit strength. And that is why PCFI remains committed to being a partner for economic growth and progress. We must show the world that we are stable.”
Nanawagan din si Poe sa mga kapwa mambabatas na bumalik na sa trabaho.
Sa botong 284 ay pinagtibay ng plenaryo ang pagbasurang ginawang ng Justice Committee sa dalawang impeachment laban sa pangulo sa pagsasabing ito ay kulang sa substansya para maisulong at maiakyat sa Senado. (Meliza Maluntag)
