MANILA, Philippines – Dapat umanong maglagay ng ‘enforcer’ si Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa mga gabinete nito upang maipatupad ang maayos na pamamahala, sinabi ni Senator-elect Panfilo Lacson nitong Martes, Mayo 20.
Ang “unsolicited advice” ni Lacson ay kasunod ng sinabi ni Marcos na nais niyang makipag-ayos sa mga Duterte para sa mas maayos na pamamahala.
Ani Lacson, ang pagnanais ni Marcos na makipag-ayos sa mga Duterte ay nagpapakita ng kabutihan nito at “goodness of his heart,” sa kabila nito ay nakikita rin aniya ang katangiang ito bilang senyales ng kahinaan.
“Unsolicited advice coming from someone who probably has had a longer experience. I think it’s difficult to change that quality of his … that’s really just who he is; he’s not confrontational, adversarial, or combative. I would suggest, unsolicited as it is, in order to support his governance, I think he needs a strong but well-intentioned enforcer in his Cabinet,” sinabi ni Lacson sa panayam ng Radyo 630.
“Someone who is capable of making government officials, including Congress, toe the line toward good governance,” dagdag pa.
Sapat ang tatlong taon para maipatupad ni Marcos ang mga kailangang pagbabago upang masiguro ang good governance.
“Because it can’t be all goodness and kindness—people you work with have different personalities,” sinabi ni Lacson.
“There will be some who think, ‘No, we can handle this because he’s too kind.’ That’s just something I can suggest, based on my experience in leadership at the Philippine National Police (PNP),” dagdag pa. RNT/JGC
