MANILA, Philippines – Walang namo-monitor na Vietnamese fishing vessels sa karagatan sakop ng Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte, ayon sa Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
Ito ay matapos magsagawa ng maritime domain awareness (MDA) flight ang ahensya sa lugar upang iberipika ang ulat na kumakalat online na 20 sasakyang pandagat ang naispatan sa Pasuquin.
Sinabi ni PCG for the West Philippine Sea (WPS) spokesperson Commodore Jay Tarriela na idineploy ang aircraft sa lugar noong Abril 27 upang magsagawa ng tatlong Oras na MDA flight.
“And unfortunately, we were not able to see the presence of the Vietnamese fishing vessels that were circulated on social media,” ani Tarriela.
“We are now reaching out to those fishermen who posted this on their social media accounts to tell us the actual coordinates and the distance where they have located those Vietnamese fishing vessels,” sabi pa niya.
Ang mga ulat ay nag-ugat sa mga video ng mangingisda na kumukuha sa umano’y presensya ng mga Vietnamese fishing vessel malapit sa probinsya.
