MANILA, Phlippines – Nagbabala ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) nitong Lunes laban sa isang YouTube video na maling nagsasabing tinalikuran na umano ng Pilipinas ang mga kaalyado nito sa usaping seguridad. Ayon sa AFP, layon ng naturang video na iligaw ang publiko at sirain ang tiwala ng mga Pilipino sa mga institusyon ng gobyerno.
Sa pahayag sa social media, sinabi ng AFP na naglalaman ang video ng komentaryo mula sa isang diumano’y foreign analyst tungkol sa “reversal” ng security alliances ng bansa.
“This video contains false information and commentary that do not reflect official policy or actions of the AFP or the Philippine government,” ayon sa militar.
Dagdag pa nito, “This is a prevalent tactic used by disinformation agents to create authoritative-sounding but false narratives. Such materials are designed to mislead, sow confusion, and erode public trust in national institutions.”
Hinimok ng AFP ang publiko na maging mapanuri sa mga impormasyong nakikita online. “We urge the public to remain vigilant, be discerning, verify information only through official AFP and government channels, and refrain from sharing AI-generated content or unverified information from questionable sources,” ayon sa ahensya.
