MANILA, Philippines – Pinuri ni Vice President Sara Duterte nitong Sabado, Abril 25 ang matagumpay na combat operation ng Philippine Army sa Negros Occidental na kumitil sa buhay ng 19 indibidwal na sinasabi ng militar ay mga miyembro ng New People’s Army.
Kabilang sa mga napatay ang isang estudyante ng University of the Philippines, aktibista, at community journalist.
“On behalf of the Office of the Vice President, I extend my commendation to the brave men and women of the 79th Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army under Lt. Col. Eric Alfonso for your recent successful combat operation,” saad sa pahayag ni Duterte.
Aniya, “courage, discipline, and unwavering commitment to safeguarding our communities are worthy of the highest respect.”
Dagdag pa, sinabi ni Duterte na ang OVP “under my leadership…[recognizes] the sacrifices you make in service to the nation.”
