MANILA, Philippines – Sanib-pwersang inihatid ng Philippine Air Force (PAF) at Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) ang kinakailangang relief supplies ng mga residente sa Calaguas Island, Camarines Norte, na sinalanta ng bagyong Kristine.
Sa pahayag nitong Lunes, Nobyembre 4, sinabi ni PAF spokesperson Col. Ma. Consuelo Castillo na ginamit ng dalawang bansa ang kani-kanilang “Black Hawk” helicopters para ibyahe ang family food packs mula sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) sa mga residente ng isla noong Nobyembre 2.
“This mission underscores the strong partnership between the Philippines and Brunei Darussalam, demonstrating their commitment to regional security and humanitarian assistance,” ani Castillo.
Ang mission ay sa pakikipagtulungan sa ground troops ng Philippine Army at mga tauhan ng DSWD-5 (Bicol) at Office of Civil Defense.
“Through collaborative efforts, the PAF and AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines) as a whole ensure that those in need receive the necessary assistance promptly,” sinabi pa ni Castillo. RNT/JGC
