PH cybersecurity paiigtingin ng DND

MANILA, Philippines- Pinagtibay ni Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. ang pagtutok ng ahensya sa cybersecurity, foundational defense infrastructure, at public-private partnerships.

Iginiit ito ng defense chief sa American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (AMCHAM) Summit 2025 nitong Huwebes sa Makati City, base kay DND spokesperson Assistant Secretary Arsenio Andolong sa news release nitong Biyernes.

Sinabi ni Andolong na binigyang-diin ng DND chief ang kahalagahan ng pagtatatag ng epektibong cyber architecture, suportado ng “competent” at “information technology (IT)-savvy defense personnel.”

“Underscoring the need for collaboration with allies and the private sector, the discussed efforts to open defense financing through targeted partnerships, with transparency and risk assessment as key principles. He (Teodoro) also highlighted the need to pursue renewable energy solutions, recognizing climate change as a real and pressing threat, especially for the Philippines,” ani Andolong.

“As the President [Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.] said in the Shangri-La Dialogue last year, everything is interconnected in terms of development and security, and we need resilience. We need deterrence and we need cooperation in order to serve as the backbone of prosperity and sustainable development for like-minded countries,” wika ni Teodoro. RNT/SA
