MANILA, Philippines – Nanawagan ang Pilipinas sa
Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) nitong Lunes, Nobyembre 4 na itigil na ang pagpapatuloy ng ballistic missile launches at sa halip ay sumunod sa international obligations.
Ayon sa Department of Foreign Affairs, ang paglulunsad ng mga ballistic missile na ito “undermine economic progress, peace, and stability in the Korean Peninsula and the Indo-Pacific region.”
“We call on the DPRK to immediately cease these activities and abide by all international obligations, including relevant UN Security Council Resolutions, and to commit to peaceful and constructive dialogue,” ayon pa sa DFA.
“The Philippines wants to see lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula and echoes the calls of the international community for a complete, verifiable, and irreversible denuclearization of DPRK,” dagdag ng ahensya.
Iniulat ng international media na nagtest-fire ang North Korea noong Oktubre 31 ng isa sa pinakamalakas na missiles nito. RNT/JGC
