MANILA, Philippines- Sanib-pwersa ang Pilipinas, Estados Unidos at Japan para palakasin ang cyber at digital resilience ng mga bansa.
Sa katunayan, nagsagawa ang tatlong bansa ng US-Japan-Philippines Trilateral cyber at digital dialogue sa sidelines ng 9th Singapore International Cyber Week.
Sa kalatas na ipinalabas ni US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller, sinabi nito na ang trilateral dialogue ay co-chaired ng Information and Communications Technology Undersecretary for Infostructure Management, Cybersecurity, and Upskilling Jeffrey Ian Dy, US Ambassador at Large for Cyberspace and Digital Policy Nathaniel Fick, at Japan’s Deputy Assistant Minister for Cyber Security and Information Technology Management Yukio Saita.
“During the dialogue, officials discussed trilateral cooperation in cyberspace, including civilian cybersecurity capacity building, cybersecurity workforce development, maritime cybersecurity, and information sharing,” ang sinabi ni Miller.
“The United States, Japan, and the Philippines will continue to work together to enhance international cyberspace stability, data security and privacy, and cyber and digital capacity building in the region,” dagdag niya.
Tinuran nito na ang trilateral cooperation para sa pagsasama-sama ng ‘cybersecurity, sustainable development, at technology’ ay makakatulong sa paglago ng ekonomiya ng tatlong bansa at maiaangat ang buhay ng kani-kanilang mga mamamayan.
“The Philippines, the US, and Japan also discussed cyber and digital capacity building and opportunities to enable the trusted flow of data across borders and continued efforts to advance the Global Cross-Border Privacy Rules (CBPR) Forum,” wika ni Miller.
Itinatag noong 2022, ang Global CBPR Forum ay isang inisyatiba na itinatag sa Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation CBPR system bilang framework na susuporta sa ‘free flow’ ng datos at epektibong data protection at privacy.
Samantala, ang dayalogo ay dinaluhan ng mga opisyal ng may malawak na hanay ng mga ahensya mula sa tatlong bansa. Kris Jose
