Pinoy Math wizards wagi sa Singapore

MANILA, Philippines – Wagi ang koponang Pinoy sa STEMCO International Mathematics Competition na ginanap sa Singapore noong Hunyo 20 hanggang 23, 2025.

Nakapag-uwi ang 39 na miyembro ng delegasyon ng 14 gold, 14 silver, at 11 bronze medals, bukod pa sa anim na special awards.

Pinangalanan ni MTG head Dr. Simon Chua ang mga Filipino gold medalists na sina German Wilhelm Crisostomo ng Colegio San Agustin Binan; Ace Oliver Inocencio ng Antique National School; Garuen Eirich Maddatu ng Taguig Science High School; Juan Antonio Mance ng St. Stephen’s High School; Harold Jude Diamante ng Phil. Science High School Bicol; Shaun Tyrone Xu ng Grace Christian College; Daniela Renomeron ng Miriam College; John Elijah Bendicion ng Grace Christian College; Alixter Shaun Chua ng Grace Christian College; Sean Carlo Nuez ng Mother Goose Special School System; Ulfricht Uriel Patagos ng Zamboanga Chong Hua High School; Zachariah Vincent Abenoja ng Elizabeth Seton School Las Pinas; Samarah Buenconsejo ng Pangasinan Universal Institute, at Marybela Carelle Chua ng Pangasinan Universal Institute.

Ang mga silver medal winners ay sina Perkins James Arejola, Moslah Jhase Choi at Jhonny Cal ng Philippine Cultural College; Eunice Mycel Lim ng Iloilo Scholastic Academy; Audrielle Renee de Leon at Larry Raboy ng St. Paul College of Ilocos Sur; Nicolo Emyr Fabila ng Ateneo de Davao University; Coby Spencer Nuez ng Mother Goose Special School System; Danielle Gabriella France Pascual ng Colegio San Agustin Bulacan; Adam Justine Aca of Claret School ng Quezon City; Anze Licah Castaneda ng St. Jude Catholic School; Thea Lauryn Morada ng Colegio San Agustin Makati; Mary Antonette Yanto ng Phil. Science High School Bicol, at Aaron Tyler Dy Po ng Grace Christian College.

Filipino math wizards conquer Singapore

Habang ang mga bronze medalist ay sina Seoyun Yu ng Reedley International School; Raden Zander de Guzman ng BHC Educational Institution; Yagil Sawan ng University of San Carlos Cebu; Yat Him Rayden Hung ng Chiang Kai Shek College; Chloe Felicity Wan ng Northern Rizal Yorklin School; Johann Enzo Sabalburo ng St. Paul College of Ilocos Sur; Enzo Sebastian Yeung ng  Chiang Kai Shek College; Jerson Cabeje ng College of St. Anthony; Perkins James Arejola at Delsey Rostata of Phil. Cultural College, at Joshia Lorenzo Agatep ng St. Paul College ng Ilocos Sur.

Kalahok sila laban sa mga estudyante mula sa 11 iba pang bansa tulad ng Russia, Vietnam, at Thailand.

Pinangunahan ng Mathematics Trainers’ Guild (MTG) ang pagsasanay ng mga kalahok.

Nakuha rin ng Pilipinas ang titulong overall champion para sa Grade 2, 7, at 8. Nanguna rin ang mga batang Pinoy sa “STEMCO’s Got Talent” kung saan ipinasikat nila ang galing sa musika at martial arts.

Ayon sa MTG, “Layunin ng STEMCO na lumikha ng pandaigdigang komunidad kung saan nahuhubog ang galing ng mga estudyante at natututo silang paghusayan pa ang kanilang sarili.” RNT
