MANILA, Philippines – Nagbigay ng magandang imahe ang Philippine National Police para kay dating Senador Antonio Trillanes IV dahil sa maayos na pag-aresto kay dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

PNP Chief Gen. Rommel Marbil and Maj. Gen. Nicolas Torre, pinuno ng PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG), sa pagpapakita ng propesyunalismo kahit na sinubukan silang pigilan ng mga kaanak at abogado ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na isilbi ang arrest order mula sa International Criminal Court (ICC).
“So far, we see (the PNP) as very professional compared to the time of Duterte when (police officers) themselves were involved in killing ordinary Filipinos whom they were supposed to protect,” pahayag ni Trillanes.
“This has become a redemption of sorts for the PNP,” aniya, sabay sabing, “They recovered the good image of the PNP.”
Si Trillanes ang isa sa mga naghain ng reklamong crimes against humanity laban kay Duterte sa ICC.
Matatandaan na inaresto si Duterte sa naturang mga reklamo noong Martes matapos lumapag sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport galing sa Hong Kong. RNT/JGC
