LIGAO CITY- Ipinagpatuloy ng Philippine National Railways (PNR) ang operasyon nitong Linggo, Nobyembre 3, sa Bicol Region kasunod ng suspensyon ng serbisyo dahil sa malawakang pagbaha dulot ni Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (international name: Trami) sa mga lalawigan ng Albay at Camarines Sur.
Kinumpirma ni PNR’s Engineering Department Manager Jaypee Relleve na lahat ng apektadong rail track sites ay idineklarang ligtas gamitin. Sinuspinde ang train operations simula Oktubre 22 nang tumama si Kristine sa Bicol region.
“The Engineering Department has issued Track Certification, meaning the tracks and bridges have been inspected and are now safe for train passage. Additionally, the Rolling Stock Maintenance Department has released Rolling Stock Certification, verifying the safety of our train units,” dagdag niya.
Sinabi rin ng PNR official na lahat ng train services mula Naga City hanggang Sipocot, maging mula Legazpi City hanggang Naga City at vice versa ay balik na sa regular schedules. RNT/SA
