MANILA, Philippines- Inihayag ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) nitong Lunes na inilabas nito ang Special Allotment Release Order upang saklawin ang performance-based bonus (PBB) ng mga guro sa Metro Manila para sa 2021, habang hinihintay ang ang sa ibang rehiyon para sa revalidation ng mga dokumento.
Base sa DBM, ikinasa ang Special Allotment Release Order and Notice of Cash Allocation na nagkakahalaga ng P950,942,317 para sa Department of Education (DepEd) bilang bayad sa 2021 PBB ng eligible school-based personnel ng opisina ng departamento sa National Capital Region (NCR).
“I already instructed concerned bureaus and offices to ensure that there will be no delays, in the part of the DBM, in the release of the performance-based bonus to our dear teachers,” pahayag ni Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman.
“The DBM stands with our nation’s educators and recognizes the extraordinary work they do for our country. Thus, we are one with our teachers in the pursuit of the immediate release of their PBB,” dagdag niya.
Sa ibang lugar naman, sinabi ng DBM na kailangan pang maghintay ng mga guro dahil ibinalik umano ang isinumiteng Form 1.0 ng school-based personnel sa Personnel Division, Bureau of Human Resource, and Organizational Development (BHROD) para sa revalidation o rebisyon.
Anang DBM, ito ay dahil sa “duplicate entries, personnel indicated not found in the agency’s Personal Services Itemization, and Plantilla of Personnel (PSIPOP), among others.”
“Rest assured po that we will closely coordinate with the Department of Education to address this, and once we are provided with the complete requirements, we will ensure din po that the PBBs will be released as soon as possible,” pahayag ni Pangandaman.
Naglaan ang General Appropriations Act (GAA) ng P710.6 billion ngayong taon para sa Department of Education—sa pamumuno ni Vice President Sara Duterte—mas mataas ng 12.20% mula sa P633.3 billion noong 2022.
Sa kabuuan ay binigyan ang education sector ng P852.8 billion, pinakamataas na budgetary priority alinsunod sa Philippine Constitution. RNT/SA
