MANILA, Philippines – Iniimbestigahan ng National Privacy Commission (NPC) ang posibleng paglabag sa privacy dahil sa pampublikong paglalantad ng Posted Computerized Voters’ List (PCVL) noong halalan noong Mayo 12.
Nakapaloob sa listahan ang buong pangalan, larawan, at tirahan ng mga botante at nai-post ito sa mga lugar na madaling makita ng publiko tulad ng bulletin boards sa mga presinto.
Tinutukoy ng NPC na iniimbestigahan nila kung “the posting of the PCVLs and their manner of display constitute a violation of the Data Privacy Act of 2012.”
HInikayat naman ng privacy body ang publiko “to refrain from taking photographs of the PCVLs and posting them on social media or other platforms without the consent of the individuals listed.”
