MANILA, Philippines – Sinupalpal ni dating chief presidential legal counsel Salvador Panelo nitong Sabado, Disyembre 14 ang findings ng House Quad Committee (QuadComm) probe sa war on drugs ng nakaraang administrasyon.
“The allegations made [against] these people are either coerced testimonies or based on hearsay, or both,” ani Panelo, na nagsilbing Palace spokesperson sa Duterte administration.
“They will never stand in court,” dagdag pa niya.
Aniya, ang pagdinig ng QuadComm ay “all political,” adding that they were “designed to destroy [former President Rodrigo] Duterte and his daughter [Vice President] Sara, so that the latter can be eliminated in the 2028 presidential race.”
Nag-isyu ng pahayag si Panelo matapos na sabihin ni QuadComm vice chairperson at Antipolo Representative Romeo Acop, sa pagtatapos ng imbetigasyon ng House joint panel sa madugong war on drugs, na ang dating Pangulo ang nasa sentro ng criminal syndicate na sangkot sa illegal drug trade at iba pang krimen.
Tinukoy ni Acop ang mga testimonya ng resource persons kasabay ng 12 pagdinig ng Kamara.
Wala pang tugon ang QuadComm at si Acop kaugnay ng sinabi ni Panelo. RNT/JGC
