MANILA, Philippines — Kinumpirma ng Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) nitong Martes na inugnay ni Batangas Rep. Leandro Legarda Leviste ang kapwa mambabatas na si Rep. Edwin Gardiola sa kontrobersiya sa flood control projects.
Personal na dumalo si Leviste sa meeting ICI headquarters sa Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
Matapos ang meeting nakipag-usap si Leviste sa reporters at sinabing si Gardiola sa ngayon ang ” biggest proponent” ng infrastructure projects sa loob ng Kongreso.
“According to ICI, the number one proponent of projects in the DPWH is Zaldy Co. Number three [are] the Discayas, and number two is Cong. Edwin Gardiola,” aniya pa.
“So basically, kung sino ang malaki, yun ang malaki (he becomes the biggest contractor) over all, because Congressman Gardiola is second largest in the DPWH (Department of Public Works and Highways) after Zaldy Co and ahead of the Discayas. Then I think it is [a] credible claim to say the largest contractor in Congress now is Congressman Gardiola,” dagdag pa ni Leviste.
Sa kabila nito, dineny ng ICI ang pagpapalabas ng nasabing impormasyon.
Sinabi rin ni DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon na makakatulong ang anumang input upang matukoy ang mga dapat pananagutin sa flood control controversy. RNT
